We are pleased to announce that Jonah Margarella has joined Mason & Hanger as our new Director of Architecture. Jonah comes to us with nearly 30 years of architecture experience, working in New York City and Richmond, Virginia.
Jonah received his master's degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute where he also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Jonah is a Gubernatorial Appointed architect to the Virginia State Building Code Technical Review Board, serving on the AIA National Committee for Codes and Standards, is currently on the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Richmond Board of Directors, certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and is a certified Commercial Plan Examiner in Virginia. This has led him to be an integral part of the project Quality Control and Assurance Procedures (QA/QC) process.
Jonah is licensed as an architect in California, New York, and Virginia. While in New York City, he was involved in a variety of project types including healthcare, education, and workplace through working with firms such as Rafael Vinoly, Pei Partnership, and HOK.
As the Director of Architecture, Jonah is excited to be part of Mason & Hanger’s critical and global mission. Jonah is always expanding his knowledge of all things architecture and engineering through seminars, learning from colleagues, and being active in the architecture community. His vision moving forward is to continue our success, unifying the architecture team and promoting education through mentorship.
