Mason & Hanger provided engineering design services for a multi-building compound, located southeast of downtown Vientiane. The compound includes an 82,500 square foot chancery office building a utility building, Marine security guard residence, two-story parking structure, utility services building, and physical and technical perimeter security.
The second phase of the project included a remodel of the existing embassy compound located in downtown Vientiane. The old administration and powerhouse buildings were demolished to make room for a new recreation building and swimming pool. The existing consular building was renovated to become the new American Center for public outreach and events.
