As a prime A-E joint venture partner, Mason & Hanger provided engineering design services for this new 47,750 SF physical fitness center. Spaces include a gymnasium with NCAA-sized basketball court and two smaller intramural courts, an indoor pool, two multi-purpose/aerobics rooms, weight training/body development areas, equipment storage/gear issue area, an administration area, fitness assessment rooms, a laundry facility, locker areas and saunas.
The design included AT-FP measures and sustainable design criteria. Contributing to the project achieving LEED Gold certification was the installation of rooftop-mounted, 60 kW photovoltaic panels.
