Aerial Port Facility

The Aerial Port Facility at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi is used to train Air Force Reserve personnel to load and unload military cargo aircraft for air/land and drop missions. The facility supports 109 reserve personnel and 12 aircraft and includes an aerial deployment area, rigging area with parachute drying tower, training rooms, offices, a conference room, and an air terminal operations center. The project received LEED Gold certification and includes many energy savings elements. Energy use was reduced 29% overall and potable water use was decreased by 43%.
