Mason & Hanger Selected for Multiple Microgrid Engineering Designs at U.S. Army Installations

Mason & Hanger and Tetra Tech Joint Venture (JV) together with our partner, Power Engineers, have been awarded an Indefinite Delivery Contract for Centralized Energy Resilience & Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) AE Services by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Huntsville to support the U.S. Army.

ERCIP is a subset of the Department of Defense (DoD)’s military construction (MilCon) program, specifically intended to fund projects that improve energy resilience, contribute to mission assurance, save energy and water, and reduce DoD’s energy costs. This program is being expanded and centralized to accelerate the roll-out of microgrids and water projects for installations worldwide.

Mason & Hanger has designed hundreds of facilities for the U.S. Military and U.S. Department of State (DOS) in some of the world’s most austere regions - many including microgrid implementation services with on-site generation, renewable energy, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

“Leaning on our decades of microgrid expertise, we are currently designing energy security projects worldwide, and within the United States,” said Stephen Scott, Vice President, Government Programs, Mason & Hanger.

“The combined capabilities of Mason & Hanger, Tetra Tech, and Power Engineers will provide unmatched experience and capacity to support the U.S. Military’s need to rapidly improve the resilience of its most important missions.” he added.
