Mason & Hanger Celebrates New San Antonio Office Location with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

A Major Milestone in Our Geographic Expansion in the West, South-Central Region

Mason & Hanger held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 6, to celebrate our new office opening in San Antonio, Texas. This investment symbolizes not only a new space, but a fresh chapter for Mason & Hanger as we continue to expand our reach to the west and south-central region and work closer to our customers.

Guests who attended were able to network and learn about our mission of Building a More Secure World ®. Ben Lilly, President of Mason & Hanger, commended the reception with an insightful speech about our rich history, project portfolio in the area, and shared our new company video.

With nearly 80 years of history in the area, Mason & Hanger’s regional project portfolio began with designing the Pantex Plant in 1947 and more recently includes our work at the Army Reserve Training Center, Tyndall Air Force Base, and Tinker Air Force Base.

“As longest operating Architectural and Engineering firm in the United States, we are thrilled to continue our history here in San Antonio.” states Ben Lilly, President, Mason & Hanger. “We are proud to be celebrating 200 years as a company in 2027.”

Our employees thrive under the one office model, having multiple locations while functioning together as one office and team.  The San Antonio office will accompany our other locations in Lexington, Kentucky; Richmond, Virginia; Virginia Beach, Virginia; Chantilly, Virginia; and Huntsville, Alabama.

This geographic expansion to San Antonio supports our longstanding and critical partnerships with our military and customer client base. Our local and regional federal business clients include USACE Districts Fort Worth, Tulsa, and Albuquerque; plus the Department of Homeland Security. A local client is Joint Base San Antonio (largest military installation in the world), which includes Randolph Air Force Base, Lackland Air Force Base, Fort Sam Houston, Martindale Army Airfield, Camp Bullis, Camp Stanley, and large Army and Air Force recreational areas at Canyon Lake. Additionally, our new office will regionally serve 15 active-duty installations; and four IDIQs for architectural and engineering (A/E) services and four design-build contracts, with other agencies. We will also be supporting engineering and construction partners in the area.

“We are deeply committed to providing the military and our customer client base with the highest quality service and expertise, and this new office is a testament to that dedication and our mission of Building a More Secure World ®,” states Mr. Lilly.
