Project Architect
"Everyone is affected by architecture. As such, all architects have a duty to create spaces that protect the health, safety, and welfare of the general public. The work that we do with all of our clients enables me and the entire Mason & Hanger team to extend that duty to people all across the world."
My architecture career started in 2000 in Philadelphia, PA. I worked for various architecture firms in that region
and decided to attend Drexel University in the evenings, eventually earning a Bachelor’s of Architecture in 2016. Soon after, my wife and I decided to
relocate to Virginia Beach, VA to be closer to family. I joined Mason & Hanger in July of 2017.
As a Senior Architectural Designer, I am responsible for designing and developing architectural drawings and details. The majority of my work is in the International Federal market, designing U.S. Embassies.
One of the things I love about my job is the complexity of each project - having a chance to develop creative, workable solutions for our clients. Also, I enjoy the collaboration with other members of the architecture department and with the different engineering departments here at Mason & Hanger.
The biggest change in the architecture industry since I started in 2000 has been the increased use of Building Information Modelling or BIM. This gives the architect and engineers the ability to show the client and contractor a building or design in 3 dimensions. It ensures that all of the people involved in a project have a clear understanding of what will be built. It also greatly reduces the potential for conflicts during construction.
