New Embassy Compound, Khartoum, Sudan
The 195,903 square foot embassy compound in Khartoum includes a new office building, office annex, compound access controls, and warehouse building. The Mason & Hanger / Page design team worked together to navigate the intricate international design-build arena to support the construction effort and maintain project continuity. The compound design includes extensive force protection measures for a secure environment. It is the first foreign embassy sited along the Nile River, and set the standard of excellence for future embassies.
The team received a 2010 National Design-Build Award in the Best Overall and Public Sector Over $50 Million category for the project.
