Service Leader: Che' Clark

Over the last year Che’ Clark has been donating his talents and time to The Virginia Gentleman checlark_for_web_1Foundation. They are behind “Camp Grom,” a huge, non-profit project in the Tidewater area. This amazing beach-style, adventure camp will cater to wounded veterans, families of the fallen, and adults and children with disabilities. 100% ADA-accessible, it will be the only camp of its kind on the East Coast. Plans include adaptable rope courses, lakeside trails, and physical activities ranging from swimming and wake-boarding to archery and putt-putt.

His work on the project includes architectural design and site layout of the structures surrounding the lake area. These structures include an elevated main observation dock and pier, a covered fishing dock, a covered cable wakeboarding launch and waiting area, and a second dock overlooking the lake. “I’m so honored to put my professional experience to work on a philanthropic passion. This project is not just beautiful - it will have a major impact on so many lives,” adds Che’.

With energy and resourcefulness, the Virginia Gentlemen Foundation has rallied the community and the region in unprecedented ways, quickly becoming a leading fundraiser for the National ALS Society, as well as developing other projects and initiatives to support the community. To date, the Virginia Gentlemen Foundation has raised over $3 million to help fight and find a cure for ALS.
